In the Spring of 2019, we embarked on the largest cross-country tour in the history of The Love Sprockets (so far!) to share the story of our daughter, Chickadee, and the album that we recorded in her honor.
We were on the road for 2 months, and played over 30 shows...
...and within a few days of returning to our (then) home base in Fort Collins, CO - we were invited to give a live in-studio performance on the Fort Collins public radio station, KRFC.
This album is the recording of that performance, complete with interviews about our lives, favorite musical artists, hopes, dreams, and adventures...
...as well as the stories behind each song - one of the favorite aspects of our live performances for almost every audience we've played for.
Though we were worn out after 8 weeks on the road, and this might not have been our tightest performance of all time... it captured the energy and personality that moved so many of the friends and fans we connected with on the tour...
...and it's the first time we've gotten a good, clean recording of these stories, the spontaneous silliness, and the tender reflections that spring up during our performances -
something that's impossible to recreate in the studio.
This album is truly a "snapshot" of who we were as performers, songwriters, and people at one of the defining phases of our journey so far.
Listen, and get a glimpse into the inner workings of our music and our hearts.
